We are proud to serve the Foothills region and surrounding communities with the highest standards of professionalism, artistry, and client care. Please review our updated policies before booking your tattoo or body art appointment. By booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. These policies are legally binding and designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for every client.
We Are An Appointment-Only Studio
Diztinctive Body Art & Beauty operates strictly by appointment only. Please do not arrive at the studio unless you have a scheduled appointment for a tattoo or consultation. All other inquiries should be directed to us via email or our online contact form.
No walk-ins: Entry is permitted only with a confirmed appointment.
Arriving early: If you arrive before your scheduled time, you may be asked to wait outside or return at your designated slot.
Health & Wellness Policy
To protect our clients and staff, we require you to reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any symptoms of cold or flu.
Notice: Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unwell. We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but understand emergencies happen. Deposit rules apply at the discretion of your artist.
Contact: For quick questions or to confirm your appointment time, you may text the reminder phone number provided in your confirmation email.
Food & Beverages Policy
Stay hydrated: Bring a water bottle.
Snacks: You may bring a small snack for longer appointments.
No alcohol or drugs: Arriving under the influence will result in forfeiture of your deposit and your appointment will be cancelled.
Deposits & Booking Policy
To secure your appointment, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required. This deposit will be applied to your final tattoo session.
Deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Do not pay a deposit unless you are certain you wish to proceed.
Rescheduling: You may reschedule your appointment twice only with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice via email or text. Less than 72 hours’ notice, or rescheduling more than twice, will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
If you reschedule your appointment with 72 hours notice there is a chance we may not be able to accommodate your appointment right away and may have to wait 3 months to get another appointment.
Cancellations: If you cancel, decide not to proceed, or do not show up, your deposit is forfeited. If you no-show and wish to rebook, you must pay in full at the time of booking.
If you cannot make your appointment date you can re-book and transfer your deposit TWICE ONLY by giving us a minimum of 72 hours notice of your appointment time (by email or text only).
If you reschedule with less than 72 hours notice of your appointment time (by email only), or if you reschedule more than twice, you automatically forfeit your deposit and will be required to provide a new deposit to book in the future.
Day-of-Appointment Guidelines
Eat beforehand: Please have a substantial meal at least 2 hours before arriving.
Grace period: There is a 15-minute grace period. If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, your deposit is forfeited, and your slot will be given to the next client.
ID required: You must present a valid government-issued photo ID. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your deposit and the cancellation of your appointment.
Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years old for all tattoos. We do not tattoo anyone under 17 under any circumstances. If you are 17, you may only be tattooed with a parent or legal guardian present. No exceptions.
Preparedness: Arriving under the influence, under coercion, or unprepared will result in cancellation and forfeiture of your deposit.
Bring entertainment: We recommend bringing a book, a podcast, or music to help you relax during your session.
Tattoo Consultations & Designs Policy
As a custom tattoo studio, most clients will require a consultation before booking. Video consultations are available for those travelling from outside the Foothills area.
Artwork approval: All designs must be pre-approved by your artist. If a design is not suitable for skin or longevity, we reserve the right to decline.
Design previews: After your deposit is received, you will receive a sketch within one week prior to your appointment. Minimal changes can be made on the day unless discussed in advance.
Design ownership: The artist retains copyright and is not obligated to release the design file.
Changes: Notify your artist at least one week in advance if you wish to change your tattoo idea. Significant changes may affect your deposit or booking.
Pricing & Touch-Up Policy
Hourly rate: $150 per hour (subject to change).
Minimum charge: $100 (covers up to 45 minutes of tattoo time).
Quotes: Estimates are available via email; exact quotes are not provided due to session variability.
Touch-ups: One complimentary touch-up is available within 6 months of your tattoo date, if needed. After 6 months, touch-ups are billed at the regular hourly rate. Additions to tattoos during touch-ups are subject to additional charges.
Other artists’ work: We do not offer free touch-ups on tattoos done by other artists.
Client Responsibilities
Aftercare: You are responsible for following aftercare instructions provided at your appointment. Visit our Aftercare Page or contact us with questions.
Appointment reminders: We do not make confirmation calls. You will receive a complimentary 3-day text reminder. It is your responsibility to remember your appointment. If you have any questions or are unsure about when your appointment is feel free to reach out by text or email and we will be happy to confirm the date and time of your appointment.
